At several positions, NFL teams have been telling agents that they will settle for a lesser player if their client doesn't take what is being offered. As NFL.com's Chris Wesseling notes, with Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman also available as slot receivers, Welker could find a depressed market for his services. Unable to swing Dwayne Bowe money, Wesseling agrees with King's suggestion that it's a good bet that Welker will realize that returning to the Patriots is his best option.
