Giants Add Josh Brown; Tynes Time With Giants Likely Over
(3/13 1:4 PT)

The Facts:
Lawrence Tynes helped kick the Giants to two Super Bowls, but it appears his time with the Giants is up. Brown is signing with the team this morning, according to two people with knowledge of the move.  Reported by the Newark Star-Ledger

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Tynes, who had been with the Giants since 2007, is an unrestricted free agent, and it wasn't in the cap-tight Giants' plans to sign him to another big contract. He will go down in team history for his two game-winning overtime field goals in the 2007 and 2011 NFC Championship Games, advance the Giants to Super Bowls XLII and XLVI. Brown, 33, last kicked for the Bengals in December, replacing the injured Mike Nugent. He earned special teams player of the month honors for his performance, connecting on 11 of 12 field goal attempts (with a long of 52 yards) and eight of eight extra points. Brown has demonstrated a strong leg through his career, with a career-high field goal of 58 yards as a rookie in Seattle and season-longs of 53 yards or more in eight of his 10 professional seasons. His career field-goal percentage is 81.3.
