Talks between the NFL and its union broke off with no progress, although NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said the sides agreed to meet again March 5. "No progress has been made, but we expect more discussions to take place before Sunday night," Aiello said.

Gene Upshaw, the NFLPA's executive director, flew home to Washington and said he was unaware of any meeting scheduled for Sunday. He did, however, express a willingness to return to New York if necessary. ...
