The top wide receiver left on the free-agent market might wind up playing for his former rival. Jennings will visit with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Thursday morning. It's his first free-agent trip, and Rapoport says a source who speaks with Jennings said the sides "are serious."

After shipping Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks, the Vikings are in the market for a No. 1 receiver. Jennings, when healthy, is one of the best receivers in the NFL and would be head and shoulders better than anyone currently on the Vikings' roster, including the newly re-signed Jerome Simpson. While the Jennings-to-the-Vikings rumors have been plenty, the visit is interesting in that ESPN Twin Cities' Tom Pelissero reported earlier this week that the Vikings wouldn't pursue Jennings if the receiver was interested in making Mike Wallace-type money. The trip to Minnesota might signify that Jennings and his advisors have acknowledged that the market is scarce on $10 million-plus contracts this offseason. The Green Bay Press-Gazette reported Wednesday that the Green Bay Packers are still "strongly in the running" to re-sign their star receiver. ... Stay tuned.
