We knew the veteran free-agent wideout was slated to visit the team today and the fact he'll continue that visit into the evening is a good sign for the Vikings, who have a serious need at the position after trading Percy Harvin to Seattle. In fact, after trading Harvin and cutting Michael Jenkins, the Vikings currently have only three wide receivers with NFL experience: Jerome Simpson, Jarius Wright and Stephen Burton. Jennings has been Aaron Rodgers' favorite target the past few years. Before his injury-marred 2012 season, he had caught 67 or more passes in each of the previous four seasons, and gone over 1,000 yards receiving in all but one of those years. He finished with 949 yards in 2011 after missing three games with a knee injury. Jennings, 29, finished last season with career lows in receptions (36), yards per catch (10.2) and total yards (366) after missing half the season with a torn muscle in his groin. ... Stay tuned.
