The Facts:
In yet another sign that the free agent market is flattening out, the Giants are bringing Murphy in for a visit today, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The former fourth-round pick from Florida hasn’t really done much as a pro (115 catches in four seasons), and as PFT's Darin Gantt suggests, he doesn’t have what scouts would describe as “hands,” but he is very fast (averaging 14.8 yards per rare reception), thus will continue to get chances. The Panthers, before a 2-8 start dashed any hopes they had of the playoffs, traded a seventh-rounder to Oakland for Murphy last spring. He responded with 25 catches for 336 yards and a touchdown. The Giants have a pair of free agent wideouts they haven’t brought back (Domenik Hixon and Ramses Barden), and lingering uncertainty about the contract futures of Victor Cruz and eventually Hakeem Nicks. Signing Murphy wouldn’t really address any of those concerns.
