The Facts:
Following up on a
previous item. ... The Bucs have been shopping Blount, who has seen his production drop since his rookie season.
Reported by the Tampa Bay Times
Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Bucs claimed him off waivers in 2010, when he was an undrafted signing of the Titans. Blount, after rushing for 1,007 yards in 2010, had just 151 yards on 41 carries playing behind rookie star Doug Martin in 2012. This latest report, by Times staffer Stephen Holder, jibes with previous reporting by CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora. Worth noting, however: During an appearance with the FootballDiehards on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio last Saturday, long-time Tampa Tribune beat writer Roy Cummings insisted the Bucs will keep Blount, who even though he's not an ideal complement to starter Doug Martin, is an excellent backup. Stay tuned. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
