Brandon Lloyd's Future With The Pats Up In The Air... Still
(3/16 2:20 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... As the Patriots continue to juggle their roster at the receiver position, Lloyd’s future with the team is unclear.  Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As of Friday afternoon, Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com was reporting that the Patriots were in talks to try to restructure Lloyd’s contract, which called for a base salary of $1.9 million in addition to the $3 million roster bonus. On Saturday morning, Tom Curran of CSNNE.com reported that Lloyd’s odds of staying in New England are 50-50. Lloyd is owed a $3 million roster bonus that the Patriots will almost certainly not pick up, but New England may still work out a restructured contract with him. The Patriots have already lost last year’s leading receiver, Wes Welker. Lloyd was the team’s No. 2 receiver, with 74 catches for 911 yards. New England has added free agent Danny Amendola, who is expected to play the Welker role, and are considering signing Emmanuel Sanders, a restricted free agent from the Steelers, who could take Lloyd’s place. ... More to come.
