The Ravens have picked up Pro Bowl kick returner Jones' $1 million roster bonus, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Jones was paid the roster bonus as scheduled on Friday, the fourth day of the league year.

As Sun staffer Aaron Wilson notes, Jones was a hit in Baltimore in his first season with three returns for scores, including a 108-yard kickoff return against the Dallas Cowboys that tied an NFL record for the longest return in league history. Jones set a franchise record while leading the NFL with a 30.7 kickoff return average. He caught a touchdown in the Super Bowl and also returned a kickoff for a touchdown in a victory over the San Francisco 49ers. The 6-2, 220-pounder also caught 30 passes for 406 yards and a touchdown, and his role on offense may increase this year now that wide receiver Anquan Boldin is being traded to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2013 sixth-round draft pick.
