Titans backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has acknowledged that he’s probably going to have to take a pay cut from the $5.5 million base salary on his current deal if he is going to stick around in Tennessee as Jake Locker’s backup. The Titans expressing interest in Fitzpatrick could be an attempt to strong-arm Hasselbeck into taking the reduced salary they’re asking him to take, or Fitzpatrick could be the Titans’ backup plan in case Hasselbeck says he won’t take a revised contract. ...
