The Facts:
Best has a great chance to spend the entire upcoming season on his team's roster. It just may not be the active roster. Best has not played football since sustaining a career-threatening concussion injury in 2011. He spent last season on Detroit's physically unable to perform list, and general manager Martin Mayhew believes that could be an option again this year.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
In Mayhew's opinion, there is no need to cut Best if he is not medically cleared again to play this season. "We could put him back on PUP and carry him through the season if we wanted to," Mayhew said. "We'll see what happens. ..." Mayhew would not say if Best was going to take a neurological exam anytime soon, however, Detroit moved in a different direction by signing running back Reggie Bush this offseason. Best recently expressed his desire to play football again. We continue to suggest not holding your breath waiting for that to happen.
