FOXSports.com has learned that Green and the Packers have agreed on a new deal that will bring him back to Green Bay rather than hit the free-agent market. According to sources close to Green, the former Pro Bowl running back signed a one-year contract as he comes off an injury.

almost two months ahead of schedule in his rehab and making better progress than most had predicted. While the new coaching staff likes Samkon Gado, who filled in when Green and others were hurt last year, the 29-year-old Green will be their projected starter going into training camp.
