It's Decision Day For Packers, Jermichael Finley
(3/25 12:31 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on the ongoing story. ... The Green Bay Packers have talked to Finley's camp about the tight end's contract situation. But as of Monday morning, it's unknown whether the Packers would give Finley any sort of pay-cut ultimatum. According to one source, the Packers' brass did express that they're uncomfortable with the tight end's $8.25 million salary this year. The two sides have talked. And Monday, Finley's future with the Packers, at least for 2013, should clear up. Finley is due a roster bonus of $3 million on Tuesday, so the Packers essentially need to make their decision on him today. Reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
If the Packers decide to pay Finley the bonus, he's virtually certain to be on the roster this season. Green Bay could release the tight end outright, restructure his deal, or keep him at the $8.25M number. As Journal Sentinel staffer Tyler Dunne points out, after Green Bay was unable to re-sign wide receiver Greg Jennings and then let tight end Tom Crabtree also leave in free agency, the chances of Finley staying in Green Bay seemed to improve. He remains a 6-foot-5, 247-pound tight end who's young. He turns 26 years old on Tuesday. But this also remains a decision that could go down to the wire. The deadline, as indicated by NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, is 4 p.m. (EST) today.
