The Facts:
Maurice Jones-Drew isn’t going to be happy. The Jaguars running back was unhappy to learn that Jones was visiting with Jacksonville’s AFC South rivals from Houston, so he should be even less enthused by the news that Jones won’t be leaving Houston. PFT has learned, via a league source, that the Texans and Jones have agreed to a one-year deal. Financial terms of the contract aren’t available.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the same. ... Jones has played his entire eight-year career with the Jaguars. He was used a fair amount as a runner early in his career, compiling 255 carries in his first four seasons, but has carried the ball just 15 times in the last four years. As PFT's Josh Alper notes, with Arian Foster and Ben Tate on the squad, the Texans probably aren’t looking to return Jones to heavy use as a rusher. He’ll be expected to provide the same kind of run blocking that the team’s gotten from Vonta Leach and James Casey in recent seasons, a task Jones is well-suited for after so many years doing the same thing for the Jags.
