The two-time Pro Bowl pick played for San Diego from 2004 until last season, when he was released after rehabbing from an ACL injury. When the Chargers released Kaeding, he was 7-for7 on the season and left as league’s most accurate regular-season kicker in history with at least 100 attempts — at 87 percent. Kaeding, the 2002 winner of the Lou Groza Award as college football’s top kicker while at Iowa, was 1-for-3 last season for the Dolphins — after his first attempt for the team was blocked.
