Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
During his introductory press conference, Palmer made a point of addressing perceived inaccuracies in the reporting of his departure from the Raiders. Palmer clearly takes issue with the idea that he somehow forced his way out of Oakland. "I was presented with a contract there and I was advised not to sign that contract with no security, no guarantees," he said. "My agent told me that he would never have me sign that contract. That opportunity led me here to coach Arians." Palmer said joining the Cardinals was "perfect" for where he was at this stage of his career. He said he had plenty of "tread on (his) tires" at 33. "I've only got a couple shots left," he said. "I've been in this league for a long time. It's nothing personal, it's not statistical, it's about trying to win a championship. ..." While winning a championship seems like a reach, playing with Larry Fitzgerald certainly won't hurt the totals.
