According to Jason LaCanfora of CBSSports.com, former Giant Hixon has agreed to terms with the Panthers, after interest from the Browns. Reported by Profootballtalk.com

According to PFT's Darin Gantt, Hixon could step into the third wideout role vacated when former Panthers wideout Louis Murphy took a job with the Giants. The Panthers also added Ted Ginn this offseason, giving them plenty of experienced competition for a young group with no sure things beyond starters Steve Smith and Brandon LaFell.
