Lewis is behind LeSean McCoy, Bryce Brown, and Chris Polk on the Eagles depth chart, and as the Inquirer notes, those three all offer size and skills that fit coach Chip Kelly’s system better than Lewis. At 5-8 and 195 pounds, Lewis is smaller than the other running backs. When Kelly discussed the Eagles running backs at last month’s league meetings, he specifically mentioned McCoy, Brown, and Polk, and did not mention Lewis. But the Inquirer believes it will be difficult for the Eagles to find a trade partner for Lewis. This is a difficult time of year to make a move, and running backs similar to Lewis can be found in the draft. Working in Lewis’ favor is his age (22), 4.8 yards per carry, and an impressive college career at Pittsburgh. ... Stay tuned.
