Tony Gonzalez 100 Percent Sure This Is His Last Season... For Now
(4/5 2:45 PT)

The Facts:
Last year, Gonzalez consistently said that he was 95-percent certain that 2012 would be his final NFL season. It wasn’t. Appearing today on PFT Live, Gonzalez said that he’s now 100-percent sure that 2013 will be his last year in football.  Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT's Mike Florio noted, Gonzalez has a new two-year contract. But that was for cap purposes only -- unless, of course, he changes his mind. ... Gonzalez still admitted that he’s “a little tempted” to try to break Jerry Rice’s all-time receiving record. With 1,242, the greatest tight end of all time is only 307 catches behind the greatest receiver of all time. And by rattling off so quickly that it would take four years to break Rice’s record, it’s clear that Gonzalez has done the basic math. He has caught 326 passes during his first four seasons with the Falcons, and at that rate it would take four more to beat Rice. Regardless, as Florio summed up, another 93 catches could put both Rice and Gonzalez at a level that anyone else will have a hard time catching.
