The Facts:
Less than a week after
letting him go, the Buccaneers re-signed backup Orlovsky on Monday, according to a source with knowledge of the transaction. Terms of the deal were not immediately available.
Reported by the Tampa Bay Times
Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
An eight-year veteran, Orlovsky was the back to starter Josh Freeman last season. Orlovsky appeared in just one game, a 41-0 loss to the Saints, in which he completed four of seven passes for 51 yards and no touchdowns. Orlovsky, 29, originally came to the Bucs a year ago as free agent when he signed a two-year, $2.5 million contract. The team did not give a reason for Orlovsky’s recent release, perhaps because they planned to bring him back all along.
