The Bengals are looking into providing a backup option to starting TE Jermaine Gresham. mith has played in 26 games over the last two seasons for the Browns. He’s caught 27 passes for 178 yards over that span. As PFT's Curtis Crabtree notes, Smith served in an H-back type role for the Browns as he lined up on the line of scrimmage and in the backfield. The Bengals are thin at the position with Orson Charles and Richard Quinn as the only other tight ends on the roster.
