According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Posey will open the 2013 season on the PUP list per a league source.

So assuming Schefter and/or his source just heard this, you kind of wonder where they were in March, when the
best source of all publicly stated as much. “I think what we’re looking at in DeVier is a middle-of-the-season possible player next year,” HC Gary Kubiak told reporters. “I think that’s probably a fair assessment right now, but he’s doing very well and has a bright future with our football team. ...” Posey was a third-round draft pick out of Ohio State who emerged late in the 2012 season and became the Texans’ third wide receiver before a ruptured Achilles tendon ended his season early. in the first round of the NFL Draft, giving them a candidate to emerge as a legitimate threat opposite Andre Johnson. Posey wasn't going to be that guy either way. He'll work the slot upon return.
