NFL.com scouting report, though Smith has had his ups and downs as a passer in West Virginia's prolific spread offense, NFL general managers appreciate his ultra-competitive nature, athleticism, arm strength and quick delivery. Meanwhile, the Jets owe Sanchez $8.25 million in 2013, whether he's on the team or not. And now, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that with the selection of Smith, the Jets will now consider releasing Sanchez. Somebody certainly has to go. And if you just burned a second-round pick on Smith, he's now your QB of the future. Ready or not.
