After getting the man some considered the top running back in the draft, Eddie Lacy, with the 61st pick overall, the Packers continued to rebuild their backfield by adding Franklin in the fourth round (with the 125th pick overall).

Rookie Scouting PortfolioRookie Scouting Portfolio, Matt Waldman compares Franklin to former Giant Tiki Barber. "Like Barber," Waldman explained, "Franklin is a tough runner with good speed and vision, who should grow into his frame in the NFL and become a versatile workhorse if given a chance. ..." At this point, it sounds more like his opportunity will come working in tandem with Lacy, but it's an opportunity nonetheless.
