LeSean McCoy Being Sued For Assault; No Charges Pending
(5/15 1:1 PT)

The Facts:
According to CourthouseNews.com, McCoy has been sued for assault. The alleged incident occurred on a “party bus” McCoy rented in December 2012, for a trip from Philadelphia to New York City. The plaintiff, a female suing under the “Jane Roe” pseudonym, alleges that McCoy and/or his bodyguard (John Doe a/k/a “Big John”) punched the plaintiff in the face, held her down and poured a beverage over her, and ejected her from the bus, all of which occurred after she complained about being sprayed with water. After others on the bus complained about the plaintiff being stranded along the side of the road, McCoy allegedly allowed her back on the bus but then left her at a rest stop. Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The lawsuit, filed in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, seeks more than $50,000 in damages for assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment, and negligence. ... It should be noted that McCoy is adamant that his accuser is just trying to shake him down for some cash. McCoy's lawyer, Andrew M. Smith told TMZ.com, "The allegations against LeSean McCoy are completely, unequivocally false." Smith continues, "There are no criminal charges pending [against McCoy] and no probable cause was ever found. ..." In other words: Non-issue. Carry on.
