The Facts:
The Jaguars parted with another veteran Thursday, releasing Owens.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Owens, who turned 29 earlier this month, made the Jaguars in 2006 as an undrafted free agent from Maine and played in 104 games. Along with Maurice Jones-Drew and Marcedes Lewis, Owens was the third-longest tenured Jaguars player this off-season, behind Brad Meester and Josh Scobee. It's unclear how much the Jaguars will use a fullback in coordinator Jedd Fisch's system, but Owens' departure is good news for rookie Lonnie Pryor in particular.
