The Facts:
The Bucs released three players on Friday afternoon: linebacker Jeff Gooch, guard/tackle Matt Stinchcomb and Griese. It’s fair to say that the Buccaneers will explore the possibility of bringing any and/or all of those three back at some point.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Releasing Griese saved the Bucs about $4.5-million in salary cap space, a procedural move that is necessary to restructure his contract. Team officials have said all along they'd like Griese to return as Chris Simms' backup this year. In fact, Griese's agent, Ralph Cindrich, said on Thursday that he had already begun talks with GM Bruce Allen in order to get his client back on the roster. More on that effort as developments warrant.
