Brady Quinn was signed earlier this offseason to back up Russell Wilson after Matt Flynn was dealt to Oakland. For a team battling ongoing PED issues -- and with Marshawn Lynch facing DUI issues, it would appear management is taking advantage of Portis' issues to send a message (something much easier done with your No. 3 QB than your starting RB).
