FOXSports.com has learned that the Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms on a new contract with Foster, who has agreed to a three-year deal worth $14.5 million that could escalate to $17.5 million. Foster was roughly an hour away from becoming a free agent when he agreed to terms.

The Panthers originally placed the transition tag on Foster in order to allow Carolina to match any offer in the open market. When the CBA terms were agreed upon and the salary cap increased, it gave the Panthers the necessary room to make the deal. ...
