The Facts:
Hynoski suffered an injury to his medial collateral ligament and a chip fracture to the lateral plateau during the team's first OTA practice on Wednesday and will undergo surgery to repair the ligament and the fracture, the club announced this morning. It’s unclear if he’ll be ready for the start of the season.

"They (the doctors) said that is not an unrealistic goal and I will do everything in my power to be ready for the start of the season. ...” Hynoski, who has an understated but vital role in the Giants offense, on the second play of an 11-on-11 drill. He took a hand-off from quarterback Eli Manning and banged knees with running back Andre Brown. He went down in a heap and was carted off the field.
