Kendall Hunter Working His Way Back Up To Speed
(5/29 12:22 PT)

The Facts:
Hunter is running and cutting. And he is taking part in individual drills during 49ers organized team activities. Hunter, a third-year running back, said there is no doubt in his mind he'll be ready to go when training camp opens in late July. "Absolutely," he told CSNBayArea.com. "I feel like I can do anything and everything. It's whatever the trainers and the coaches want." Reported by CSNBayArea.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Hunter sustained a torn left Achilles tendon on Nov. 25 against the New Orleans Saints and underwent season-ending surgery. Two months later, he was no longer was using the orthopedic boot to restrict his foot's movement. He has been running for more than two months. "It's going well," Hunter said. "I'm doing everything. I'm just keeping it to whatever the trainers want. I'm listening to what they're saying, and doing whatever they say I can do." When camp opens July 24, it will be eight months since Hunter's injury. Last week, receiver Michael Crabtree underwent surgery to repair a torn Achilles. His rehabilitation is expected to take six months. "They're similar, but not going to compare the two injuries," 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said. "Both in Kendall's and Michael's cases, the doctor was very confident and felt very good about the operations. Kendall's on track. ..." Stay tuned.
