The Facts:
HC John Fox said after Thursday's practice that Dreessen has had arthroscopic surgery on his knee and will not be available for the remainder of offseason workouts, including the team's mandatory mini-camp June 11-13.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Julius Thomas, who had ankle surgery last April after missing most of his rookie season in 2011, has taken many of the snaps in passing situations in Dreessen's absence. "Just a little knee procedure, scope, done, just to clean it up," Fox said. "It's been a good deal for Julius." Maybe this will be enough of an opportunity for Thomas, a former basketball player and fourth-round pick in 2011, is ready to start making use of the physical skills the Broncos have been touting since they drafted him in the fourth round of the 2011 draft. Thomas has yet to catch a pass as a pro, mostly due to injuries. Meanwhile, it sounds like Dreessen will be good to go when training camp opens, but we'll be following up as needed.
