The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... On the final day of short-pants work, as the Eagles prepared to adjourn for six weeks, until the start of training camp, Vick admitted it: He has not enjoyed running on and off the field, splitting first-team reps, primarily with Nick Foles. "It's tough," Vick said, when asked about splitting the reps Thursday. "I have to continue to be a professional and put my feelings and emotions to the side, and just continue to compete. But it's hard. I would be lying if I said it wasn't, but that's just what I have to deal with, and I'm going to keep dealing with it until I see otherwise."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As Daily News staffer Les Bowen notes, HC Chip Kelly has touted an even quarterbacking competition between Vick and Foles, possibly even including rookie Matt Barkley. Kelly reiterated Thursday that he will not make any judgments on starters until he sees players in pads. But this is not a fun way to work for Vick, the Eagles' starter since 2010, who will be 33 when camp starts. Has he mentioned this to Kelly? "We haven't talked about it yet," Vick said. "Coach knows exactly what he's doing. We don't question him, he don't question us. We just listen. ..." For what it's worth, Vick said he thinks the QB who makes the best decisions will win the competition.
