According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Giants wide receivers Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz were no-shows for team physicals Monday in advance of Tuesday’s mandatory minicamp.

But is it much ado about nothing? As PFT's Darin Gantt notes, Cruz hasn’t signed a contract, and until he does, he can’t be fined for being absent. Nicks can be fined, up to $66,150 if he skips all three days. But Nicks could also roll in first thing in the morning and take a physical if need be. That might be the plan, as quarterback Eli Manning said he had exchanged texts with Nicks, and expects to see him Tuesday. ...
