The Facts:
To the best of his knowledge, Stewart does not have cancer. But an injury report on the Sporting News stated the Carolina running back has been sidelined since June 9 with cancer and is out indefinitely. Stewart responded via Twitter, writing: "Dear fans I do no have cancer @sportingnews must of had a typo in there updates! So there info is completely false no worries #fail"

According to the Observer, The Sporting News issued a correction late Sunday evening saying they were working to understand "why Stewart was improperly listed in the report" and removed all instances of the false report from the site. “We regret the published error on Jonathan Stewart, which was totally due to an automated feed that has since been corrected. Glad that Mr. Stewart set the record straight on Twitter. .." Meanwhile, Stewart did have surgeries on both ankles in the offseason and HC Ron Rivera has called Stewart "very limited" in offseason workouts and mini-camp during the spring. Meaning we'll be watching his status closely when training camp opens next month.
