No. 2 QB Kirk Cousins dropped by NFL Network's "NFL AM" Monday morning to discuss a book he authored and reiterated all the wonderful things we've heard about RGIII's recovery. "Robert looked awesome," Cousins said. "I'm not just saying that. Obviously, he is a bit of a freak in terms of his athleticism, but he's healed very quickly. He couldn't practice with us, he was on a spate field doing drills all spring. ... He looked really good, and I think he'll be ready to go in Week 1."

And if Griffin is ready come Week 1, none of us should be surprised in the least. After all, Cousins is only the latest in a long series of those around RG3 making it clear the athletic starter is well on his way to recovering from the torn ACL he's been rehabbing all offseason. In addition to Cousins, Griffin's surgeon, coaches, father and GM and pretty much every reporter who's watched the former first-round pick work in recent weeks has said the same. ... Of course, there's still plenty of time to assess the situation between now and Week 1; it's safe to say we'll be hearing more.
