Jones-Drew addressed his Jacksonville Jaguars teammates this offseason about his reported fight with a security, showing contrition for creating a distraction for the team. It looks like that distraction won't extend into the season. WJXT 4 in Jacksonville first reported Tuesday that Jones-Drew will not be charged by prosecutors for a May 25 incident in St. Augustine, Florida. The Florida Times-Union and FOX 30 quickly confirmed the report.

"Based on the facts and the law the State cannot establish the charge beyond and to the exclusion of all reasonable doubt," wrote Assistant State Attorney Christopher France said in a statement to FOX. ... Meanwhile, Jones-Drew, coming off foot surgery, said this week that his foot "feels great" and he will be ready for the season. Now, as NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal suggests, we know he should not have to worry about his legal issues getting in the way of his readiness for the season too.
