Bills Agree To Terms With Redskins TE Robert Royal
(3/11 4:41 PT)

The Facts:
Royal has reached an agreement with Buffalo on a five-year, $10 million deal that includes a $2.5 million signing bonus. The Bills need a veteran tight end after releasing three-year starter Mark Campbell on March 1. Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Royal is expected to compete with backup Tim Euhus and Kevin Everett for Buffalo's starting job. It's worth noting the Redskins had hoped to keep the 6-4, 257-pound Royal, who had 18 of his 31 career catches in 2005 while mostly being used as a blocker. According to those who follow the team closely, Redskin officials didn't expect him to receive any overwhelming offer. It appears they thought wrong.
