The Facts:
Chris Russell of ESPN Radio in Washington tweeted Saturday that the Redskins have yet to set a time or date to clear Griffin, according to a source "very involved on the medical side."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Russell's source acknowledged, however, that whatever test the team's medical staff puts before Griffin, "he completely smashes it." According to the source, the Redskins are "astonished" by his progress. ... Which just adds to the overall positive buzz we've been getting all along. Remember: When Griffin was asked last month if he'd be healthy for the start of training camp, the quarterback confidently replied, "Without a doubt." In late June, backup quarterback Kirk Cousins said that RGIII "looked awesome" at the tail end of spring practices. "I'm not just saying that," Cousins said. "Obviously, he is a bit of a freak in terms of his athleticism, but he's healed very quickly. ..." So as NFL.com's Marc Sessler notes, the signs are good. His long speed is back, he's cutting again and Griffin even walks without any sign of a limp when the brace is removed from his surgically repaired knee. And of course, we'll continue to follow up on a regular basis in coming weeks.
