The Facts:
The Broncos re-signed Dayne -- giving him a three-year deal -- on Saturday. "Ron showed us in 2005 that he certainly has the skills to be a productive part of the Broncos' rushing attack," GM Ted Sundquist said. "His contributions should only be greater in 2006, and we feel he has finally found a place where he can showcase his talent."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
A third-stringer last year, Dayne will get a shot at the lead running back role with the recent departure of Mike Anderson, a salary-cap casualty. Dayne played in 10 games last season and averaged 5.1 yards on 53 carries with one touchdown. Although his carries were limited while backing up Anderson and Tatum Bell, he played a significant role in two crucial victories.
