D-Jax Thinks Michael Vick Will Win The Starting Job
(7/20 7:49 PT)

The Facts:
DeSean Jackson doesn't sound like a guy who wants to get involved in predicting the outcome of the Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback competition this summer. He did it anyway. "In my opinion, honestly, I don't want to be put on the spot. I know y'all gonna do me like that, but Michael Vick's got a lot of confidence in himself," Jackson told ESPN. "He's been there, going on 12 years in the NFL. I think he'll get the job." Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Jackson continued: "Nick Foles is a great, great talent coming in from Arizona, actually a Pac-12 guy. He has the hype, he has the skills as well too. Going into camp, I think Michael Vick will probably be the starter, but we still don't know. I think Chip Kelly's gonna keep everybody honest and keep everybody open. ..." Asked to elaborate why Vick is the favorite in his mind, Jackson said it goes back to the mobility on which Vick built his career. Jackson believes Vick will be able to get back to his improvisational self under Kelly, who said this month that Vick's mobility is an "added bonus." That said, Kelly added it's a "misconception" that his offense needs a running quarterback. As NFL.com's Dan Hanzus points out, Vick's struggles with accuracy and decision-making have held him back in recent seasons. He'll have to improve on those issues to beat out Foles, who some believe has the edge going into camp.
