The Facts:
Binns tore the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his knee on Sunday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported this evening. The injuries will end Binns’ season, Jackson said. Reported by Profootballtalk.com

The 23-year-old Binns appeared in three games for Miami in 2012 after being claimed off waivers from Cincinnati. Binns began 2012 as a regular for the Bengals, catching 18 passes for 210 yards and a score in eight games (five starts for Cincinnati. Binns was to vie for one of the Dolphins’ WR depth chart spots beyond Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson -- although recent reporting suggested he might even be pushing Gibson for that No. 3 spot. That obviously won't be the case now.
