The Facts:
Gabbert left the field on Monday with a right ankle injury late in Jaguars practice, according to multiple reporters on the scene. HC Gus Bradley called it a sprain after Gabbert was carted from the field after visiting with trainers. Gabbert will undergo further tests on Monday.

Gabbert and Chad Henne have been splitting snaps evenly to open training camp. That will obviously change in the coming days. As NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal suggests, it's too early to know whether this is a serious injury, but even a week off of work could hurt Gabbert's chances of winning the job. Henne isn't great but he's proven to be serviceable enough to keep the team's receiving options viable enough for fantasy owners. ... Stay tuned.
