Robert Griffin III Will Wear Knee Brace All Season
(7/29 1:32 PT)

The Facts:
Griffin was asked after practice today whether he’ll protect his knee with a brace for the rest of his career, and although he said he hasn’t decided that, he has already decided to wear a brace for at least this year. “I don’t know if I’ll wear it forever. I know I’ll wear it for the rest of the season,” Griffin said. Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT's Michael David Smith reminded readers, Griffin also wore a brace throughout the 2010 season at Baylor after tearing his ACL in 2009. But he took the brace off for his Heisman Trophy-winning 2011 season. “After the first time I had the injury I wore it for a year and I thought I’d wear it for the rest of my life,” Griffin said. “The next year came around and I took it off, won a Heisman and did a whole lot of other things. It just depends on how the leg feels. I don’t plan on wearing it past this season, but it all depends on what happens. ...” As Smith went on to opine, "The brace may slow Griffin down slightly, but if it prevents him from tearing his ACL a third time, wearing it is the right decision." No arguments here.
