ongoing story. ... Gabbert is back at practice for the Jacksonville Jaguars. But John Oehser, senior writer for the Jaguars' official team site, reported that it's possible Gabbert left practice early. Quarterbacks Chad Henne, Matt Scott and Mike Kafka all were seen taking reps, but Oehser did not see Gabbert.

The team's third-year quarterback was in full pads with his ankle wrapped Wednesday after suffering a right ankle injury in Monday's session, the Jaguars announced. Gabbert's injury wasn't thought to be serious, but no timetable had been set for his return. HC Gus Bradley on Monday called the injury "a freak deal" after Gabbert walked off the field under his own power. ... We'll be following up as needed, although neither Gabbert or Henne, who are competing for the starting spot, should be high on your fantasy radar. We'll also note the team's primary receiving weapons, Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon, fared well enough regardless of the starter last year.
