Golden Tate Confident He Can Get The Job Done In Harvin's Absence
(7/31 5:45 PT)

The Facts:
With Percy Harvin gone until late in the season due to hip surgery, Tate sees a possible silver lining. For himself. “I hadn’t had a discussion with the organization, or the coaching staff or anyone,” Tate told reporters on Wednesday. “I would assume that we are very similar players. So the things that they intended on him to do, I’ll be more than happy to do that. I want to get the ball anyway that I can and I want to try and make a play. ... I’m excited; to get the opportunity to get more reps and help this offense.”  Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The optimism extends beyond Tate, according to Tate. “We are not discouraged at all,” Tate said. “We are still out here grinding, working. We’re going to see how great we can be. We think that we have everything we need to succeed and we are going to do that. ... We have a lot of playmakers." Indeed, as NFL.com's Chris Wesseling pointed out this week, the Seahawks averaged more than 32 points per game over their last 10 games last season. We'll also stress again, Tate led all Seahawks receivers over the final 11 games with 42 catches, 635 yards and five touchdowns. We suspect Russell Wilson and crew will do just fine until Harvin returns.
