Riley Cooper Won't Be Suspended; Eagles Will Get WR Outside Assistance
(8/1 12:25 PT)

The Facts:
The Eagles released a statement on Thursday afternoon updating the Riley Cooper situation. The statement read: “In meeting with Riley yesterday, we decided together that his next step will be to seek outside assistance to help him fully understand the impact of his words and actions. He needs to reflect. As an organization, we will provide the resources he needs to do so.”  Reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
This comes after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said on ESPN Radio on Thursday morning that league will not take action against Cooper. The Eagles have fined Cooper. And now it seems that's all they'll do. As NFL.com noted earlier today, Cooper is under pressure to step in for the injured Jeremy Maclin. And the Eagles need him. So the fine and outside assistance will likely be the end of this -- from the Eagles perspective. It will be interesting to see if it goes away that easily.
