Ben Tate Forced Out Of Practice With Tight Groin
(8/2 1:32 PT)

The Facts:
HC Gary Kubiak hopes Arian Foster can return from his calf strain to make his training-camp debut on Sunday. For the meantime, though, backup Tate will join Foster on the sidelines. Tate was forced from Friday's practice with a groin injury."My groin tightened up," Tate said via the Houston Chronicle. "... I'm not too worried about it." Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As NFL.com's Chris Wesseling suggested, it's a good bet the Texans are worried about it. Remember; a hamstring injury dogged Tate throughout the second half of last season. It should be noted that Tate also dealt with a groin injury early in the 2011 season. Wesseling went on to point out this is a contract year for Tate, who will have a shot at earning a starting job and the accompanying contract on the open market in 2014. More importantly, with the Texans would like nothing better than using Tate to keep Foster fresh for a post-season run. Kubiak wasn't happy with the missed time last season. We suspect he'll be even less so this time around.
