Collie is expected be on the practice field Friday evening as the newest member of the 49ers. Collie impressed the 49ers during a Friday tryout that included veteran free agents Laurent Robinson and Lavelle Hawkins. Collie, 27, previously worked out for the 49ers in June, at which point he was 7 1/2 months removed from a season-ending ruptured patellar tendon. The 49ers wanted to take another look at him after he had more time to rehab. Collie also has a history of concussions. Collie played in just one game with the Indianapolis Colts in 2012. He has recorded 173 catches for 1,845 yards and 16 touchdowns in his four-year career.
