Fisher Hints At Running Back By Committee In St. Louis
(8/2 11:48 PT)

The Facts:
We expect Isaiah Pead to be given every opportunity to win the lead-back job, but Daryl Richardson was impressive in his own right as a rookie. Throw in fifth-round draft pick Zac Stacy -- a trendy fantasy sleeper -- and there are more questions than answers regarding the backfield roles. HC Jeff Fisher provided little insight this week, telling NFL.com's Ian Rapoport that the situation could be "playing two or three backs all the time. Which is good." Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As NFL.com's Chris Wesseling reminded readers, the slightly undersized Pead and Richardson operate best in space while Stacy packs more punch as a decisive inside runner. Wesseling added, "The tea leaves suggest a 'hot hand' situation between the former while the latter handles short-yardage duties." Fantasy owners will want to take a wait-and-see approach before investing heavily in any of the three Ram runners.
